Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. Introduction

Big Day Out Inc., a company registered in the State of Delaware ("we", "us", "our"), operates PadelHQ — the website, the iOS and Android apps, and the public live boards (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: when you create an account we collect your email address, display name, and optional profile details such as a bio, avatar photo, preferred playing side, and self-assessed skill level. Sign-in is by one-time email code or passkey — we never store a password.

Match & competition data: match results and scores, tournament and league participation (including box leagues, event series, ladders and team leagues), standings, rankings, skill ratings, and club or community membership that you or an organizer submit through the Service.

Photos and images: if you choose to upload them — a profile photo, or club, community and sponsor logos when you organize. The mobile apps ask for photo-library access only when you pick an image.

Push notifications: if you enable notifications in the mobile app we store a device push token so we can notify you about matches, invites and tournaments. You can turn this off in your device settings at any time.

Region: an approximate country/city used to show you nearby clubs, tournaments and leagues. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Usage data: basic technical information generated by using the Service, such as device type and IP address, used for security, abuse prevention and operating the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Calculate and update player rankings and skill ratings
  • Display leaderboards, match history, tournament and league standings
  • Run public live scoreboards for events you take part in
  • Send notifications about matches, tournaments, leagues, and account activity
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with you
  • Keep the Service secure and prevent abuse

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising or ad-tracking. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Public competition data: your display name, skill level, match history, standings and club membership may be visible to other users, and on public live boards and share links for events you play in (for example on a venue TV). Event organizers control who can see their events.
  • Service providers: we share data with providers who help us operate the Service — hosting, database and email delivery — under agreements that limit their use of it.
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.

5. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used — which pages are opened, on what kind of device, and roughly from where. It sets cookies in your browser and Google processes that data on our behalf. We do not use it for advertising, we do not enable Google's ad-personalisation signals, and we do not send it your name, email address or any other detail that identifies you directly.

We ask before any of it starts. Until you choose, the tag is loaded in a mode that stores nothing on your device; if you decline, it stays that way. Your answer is remembered on that device, so clearing your browser data brings the question back.

You can also opt out with Google's browser add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site. Nothing about the Service stops working if you do.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile in the app or on the web. Deleting your account removes your sign-in and personal details (email, name, photo, bio) permanently; match and competition results you took part in are anonymized rather than erased, so other players' records and standings stay intact. Some information may be retained where required by law.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal information
  • Object to or restrict processing of your information
  • Request a portable copy of your data

You can delete your account yourself from your profile settings, or contact us at the address below to exercise any of these rights.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
